Effective 11 September 2026
ProxChat puts you in touch with people who are physically near you. That only works if it feels safe. These rules are short, and we enforce them.
Everyone here is 18 or older. Never use ProxChat if you are under 18, and never contact someone you believe is under 18. Any sexual content involving a minor is reported to the authorities and the account is removed permanently. There are no warnings for this.
You do not have to use your legal name — pseudonyms are the norm here. But do not pretend to be someone else, do not use another person's photograph, and do not misrepresent your age or gender to deceive someone.
If someone stops replying, stop messaging. Do not insult, threaten, or intimidate. Do not attack people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar characteristic. Do not create a new account to reach someone who blocked you.
Do not send sexual images or explicit messages to someone who has not invited them. Do not put nudity or sexual content in your profile photo or bio — those are visible to everyone nearby.
ProxChat is not a marketplace. No advertising, no promotion, no soliciting money, no investment or cryptocurrency pitches, no directing people to other platforms or paid content. Requests for money from a stranger are almost always a scam — report them.
No content or conduct that breaks the law, including selling drugs or weapons, sexual services, or the sharing of someone's private information without their consent.
Do not share screenshots, messages, or photographs from ProxChat elsewhere without the other person's agreement. Do not try to work out where someone lives. The app deliberately shows only an approximate range, and trying to defeat that is a serious breach of these rules.
If you decide to meet, meet somewhere public. Tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back. Arrange your own transport. Trust your instincts and leave if anything feels wrong. Nobody on ProxChat has been identity-checked by us.
Every profile has Block and Report. Blocking is immediate and silent: they cannot message you and you disappear from each other's lists. Reporting sends the account to us for review.
For anything urgent, or involving a minor or a threat to someone's safety, write to info@machariel.ee. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend an account, or remove it permanently. Serious cases — particularly anything involving a minor, credible threats, or fraud — result in immediate permanent removal and, where appropriate, a report to the authorities.
